Philbert Construction has worked out of the same Tadley yard for eighteen years. Most of our clients live within a 30-minute drive of the office — Reading, Caversham, Pangbourne, Goring, Thatcham, Newbury, Bucklebury, Basingstoke and the villages running up to south Oxford. We know the conservation areas, the planners, the building inspectors and the back roads that get materials onto site without blocking a neighbour's drive.

Working locally matters for more than just nostalgia. It means the foreman is on site by 8am without a two-hour commute, deliveries arrive on the day they're booked, and if there's a snag two months after completion we can drop in the same week rather than fitting you in around a job in another county.
